WORK EXPERIENCE      For their Asdan qualifications, students have been following instructions to carry out simple tasks as part of their work based learning.

GARDENING.     Some of the students in the gardening group have been potting seedlings, harvesting potatoes, clearing leaves and weeding; in preparing the garden for winter.

GOING OUT IN THE COMMUNITY.    This term we have been out and about in the local community buying resources and ingredients for our lessons. We have been exploring our local park and interacting with our friends to enhance our emotional wellbeing.

LIFE SKILLS    We have been learning to prepare simple drinks and snacks. Understanding basic food hygiene and learning to handle equipment safely.

ARTS   We have been exploring a variety of art forms this term. They are split into arts groups. Some students have been creating space music using a voice changing microphone. Another group have been using scarves to create a galaxy type effect.  The group working with clay have been creating bowls and mugs.

We have used ‘Moonwalk’ by Andy Warhol as an inspiration to create our own paintings/collages.
