Why My World matters
My World helps pupils explore their environment, community and place in the world. It supports early science, geography and history through sensory, practical and meaningful learning.

What pupils learn
Learning is matched to each pupil’s developmental stage and includes:

·       early scientific enquiry, cause and effect, and problem-solving

·       time, change, seasons and routines

·       exploring materials, living things, weather and the natural world

How we teach My World

·       through curiosity-led discovery, play and investigation

·       using nature areas, sensory resources, investigative spaces and the local community

·       through activities such as growing, cooking, exploring weather, simple science experiments and community visits

·       by helping pupils notice, explore, ask questions and make connections with the world around them
