Confirmed 2nd Covid Case. 22.10.2020

Confirmed second positive case of COVID-19 in school (same bubble)

22nd October 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Confirmed second positive case of COVID-19 in school (same bubble)

We have been informed of a second confirmed case of COVID-19 late last night and the effected bubble are now isolating. As all staff and students from this bubble are already isolating at home.

School will re-open after Half Term on Monday 2nd November unless we are updated by Public Health England. We will continue to monitor this situation closely and keep it under review and update you via text if needed.

School will be closed tomorrow for Teacher Training Day.

Please continue to be vigilant and do not send your child to school if they are unwell and/or displaying any of the following symptoms:

•new continuous cough and/or

•high temperature

•a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

If your child is displaying any of these symptoms, please arrange for them to have a COVID-19 test.

If a negative test is received then a return to school should still not take place until the student is fully recovered and if they have had a high temperature they should have been clear of this for 48 hours.

Many thanks for your continued support,

Sinead Davies

(Head teacher)
