Autumn Term 2019
We have been looking at theme of Poverty using 'Oliver Twist as our stimulus. We have developed our understanding of the plot, summarising it in both symbols and sentences and familiarised ourselves with the key characters. We have been learning about what life was like in Victorian times and thought about what it would be like to live in poverty or be homeless. As part of our work we have had sensory assemblies where we explored different tents in different living conditions. We have also had fun dressing up as characters and making gruel!
